How to Forward After-Hours Calls to Vocallis in 60 Seconds

You do not need to switch phone providers, change business cards, or port your main line. Keep your existing phone company and route night calls with a simple carrier star code or PBX rule.

Keep Your Number

Customers still dial your main Google/truck line.

Turn on at 5:00 PM, cancel at 8:00 AM with *73.

Deactivation & Rollback:

Pro-tip: If you only want Vocallis to pick up when you do not answer within 3 rings, dial *71 instead of *72 (Conditional Call Forwarding).

Frequently Asked Questions About Call Forwarding

Does my customer see a different caller ID when they call?

No. The homeowner dials your standard business phone number (the one printed on your vans, website, or Google Business Profile). The carrier routes the call transparently to Vocallis behind the scenes without changing what the customer sees.

What is the difference between *72 (Unconditional) and *71 (Conditional)?

*72 (Immediate/Unconditional): Every single incoming call goes directly to Vocallis on the first ring. Best used when closing the shop at 5:00 PM or going to sleep.

*71 (Conditional / No-Answer): Your on-call cell phone will ring 3 times first. If you are awake and answer, you handle the job. If you sleep through it or are on another job, Vocallis picks up on the 4th ring so the lead is never lost.

Can we schedule automatic forwarding without dialing star codes every day?

Yes! If your company uses VoIP (such as RingCentral, Vonage, Dialpad, Grasshopper, or Nextiva), you configure the schedule once in your web dashboard. It will automatically switch to Vocallis every evening at 5:00 PM and switch back to your daytime office staff at 8:00 AM.
